Mette Ussing first came to Nepal in 1972 and she lived around the Boudhanath circle for a year. Throughout her stay she captured many photos of the surroundings of Boudha and the Valley. After she left Nepal these photos were forgotten for many decades. For the first time with the support from the Royal Danish Akademi of Fine Art, she has been able to come back to Nepal with these photos for an exhibition.
By profession, Mette is a Sculptor, she has done many solo and group exhibitions since 1966 in Denmark, Europe, Japan and Australia. She is a board and the jury-member of Royal Danish Akademi of Fine Art since 2008.
