On this “Object in Focus” Series – 2, we are featuring visual Artist Kapil Mani Dixit.
1 Big Idea
A single object exhibition is a concept which would allow viewers and also the artists to LOOK, SEE & THINK Contemporary Art in a completely different perspective.
Kapil Mani Dixit is a well acclaimed nude figure drawing artist in Nepal. Kapil is passionate about his art works and is committed towards promoting figurative art in Nepal and beyond.
He has done numerous shows in Nepal and abroad.
In 2018 he was honoured with a Distinguished Alumni Award, by the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD), USA, for his outstanding commitment and contribution to art and society, in general.
In 2018 he also received the prestigious two months fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center, in Vermont, USA.
Kapil’s work was recently showed at ‘A-Factory Studio Museum of Arts’ in Texas; at the Gallery of North Lake College, in Texas, and at the ‘Nude Art LA’ exhibition at Los Angeles, USA.
This is his sixteenth solo art exhibition – on this exhibition he is exhibiting his work done in a used carpet. This is the first time he is using carpet as a surface to paint.
He has titled it “Nude Carpet”
